A leader in the cryptocurrency market today, became Bitcoin SV (BSV), which at some point grew by 200% in some markets during today’s trading session. According to CoinMarketCap, at 13:15 UTC on the 11th largest market capitalization of cryptocurrency reached the 24 hour maximum of $139,31, 120% higher than at the opening of the trading session, when it was $62,99. However, on certain exchanges, a sudden jump in the price of BSV was even more dramatic: it showed an increase of 214% to $195 on the Singapore bitcoin exchange Huobi.
The growth was partially caused by the announcement that Craig Wright had registered claims of copyright in the original Bitcoin Whitepaper and code, promising to return the copyright of the Association of Bitcoin.
According to today’s message, Wright intends to transfer the registration of copyrights Bitcoin Association, which will act in the interests of the Bitcoin ecosystem. Bitcoin Association, a global industry organization that supports the BSV and owns the client software the Bitcoin SV.
Another trick Wright blew up the price of BSV
Data show that the total 24-hour volume of BSV was $447,6 million, while the 10 leading stock exchanges are identified as exchanges, which have reported significant numbers of trading volume in the report Bitwise Asset Management, have shown that the current number of sales is closer to $31.8 million
Cryptocurrency Bitcoin Satoshi Vision, usually abbreviated as SV Bitcoin is a fork of BCH and was recently excluded from the set of known exchanges, including Binance, Kraken and Shapeshift because of its chief supporter Craig Wright, claiming that he is Satoshi Nakamoto, Creator of bitcoin, which many believe is fraudulent.
However, it is important to note that registration does not imply the right of ownership and is not an official patent. Anyone can register anything through the process of copyright protection. However, this did not prevent the fans of BSV to create a huge pump, to raise the bitcoin 200% on the news. In this period the price dropped slightly to $102, showing a 66% growth at the time of writing.
In an attempt to bring some clarity, some people in Twitter said that this does not mean that Wright has a legitimate right of ownership for the technical document or the original Bitcoin code.
As the Executive Director of Coin Center’s Jerry Brito, copyright registration is simply filling out the form.
Registering a copyright is just filing a form. The Copyright Office does not investigate the validity of the claim; they just register it. Unfortunately there is no official way to challenge a registration. If there are competing claims, the Office will just register all of them. https://t.co/YA70ALpG1Y
