One of the first users of Bitcoin recently proved that he owns the BTC address, which Craig Wright, a self-proclaimed Satoshi Nakamoto, provided in court as evidence. Address contains 160 000 BTC.
In the case of Stamps vs Wright, where the family Stigma was sued in connection with alleged manipulation of the inheritance from Wright, accusing him of stealing 1.1 million BTC.
In the case as evidence was presented in various documents. One of them, known as Annex 11 includes the early Bitcoin address, which allegedly was used in the trust, in the UK, and which remained untouched until then, until it became more clear rules concerning BTC and cryptocurrency.
The address owner disputes the right “Faketoshi”
Recently the owner of one of these Wright bitcoin addresses posted a message on the Memo, the microblogging platform built on Bitcoin for Cash, with the statement that he is the owner of one address and that this address belongs to Satoshi Nakamoto, or Craig Wright.
In the message from the source bitcoin address 16cou7Ht6WjTzuFyDBnht9hmvXytg6Xdvt, said:
“Address 16cou7Ht6WjTzuFyDBnht9hmvXytg6Xdvt does not belong to Satoshi or Craig Wright. Craig is a liar and a deceiver.”
The rightful owner of the address included the signature, which confirms that the person sending the message really is in control of the private keys of the addresses. And it was confirmed by different users of the cryptocurrency, who checked the signature.
The developer of blockchain mark Lundeberg on Reddit has posted a picture which shows that he used the Electron Cash wallet to verify the signature.
The intrigue remains
In particular, many users initially found that the address belongs to the General Director Bitcoin.com Roger Faith, which is a well-known proponent of Bitcoin Cash and who has repeatedly called Craig Wright’s “a liar and a fraud,” for which lawyers are the latest put forward a claim against him. Others believe that this may be one of the traders Mt Gox or BTC early users.
The statement of the Bitcoin address owner, who claims that he belongs to Wright it is interesting that the court shall have a document from the case, when on 13 October 2011 the lawyer of Wright’s affidavit stated that the self-proclaimed Satoshi Nakamoto showed him that he can control the address.
The case only becomes more complicated. Recently in social networks Calvin Eyre, CEO CoinGeek and the SV Bitcoin supporter, stated that on 21 may, he hopes to get solid evidence
